Funding Details:
Grants are available for community projects that improve information and knowledge about climate change, reduce emissions and build resilience.
Grants of between $2,000 and $20,000 are available for Tasmanian-based projects that:
- improve information and knowledge about climate change
- reduce greenhouse gas emissions and support the transition to a low-emissions economy
- build resilience in our communities and local environment to the impacts of a changing climate
- There is a total of $350,000 available.
Who Can Apply:
The following organisations with an existing or ongoing presence in Tasmania can apply:
- not-for-profit organisations
- incorporated associations
- local government authorities
- recognised natural resource management bodies
- recognised industry peak bodies or organisations
Joint applications are also welcome. You cannot apply for the grant as an individual, but you can partner with an eligible organisation to deliver a project.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Project must start before 30 Apr 2025 and must be completed by 31 Dec 2026
- You must have appropriate insurance
- The assessment of the application will be based on the following four key criteria:
1. Alignment with program objectives (40%)
2. Capacity and capability to deliver the project (30%)
3. Community benefits (20%)
4. Broader benefits for Tasmania (10%)
Note: The grant payment will be transferred to the nominated bank account of the organisation.
