{"id":28482,"date":"2024-01-16T09:39:42","date_gmt":"2024-01-16T09:39:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/northmoregordon.com\/?post_type=grants&#038;p=28482"},"modified":"2024-10-16T02:59:36","modified_gmt":"2024-10-16T02:59:36","slug":"metering-plan-implementation-grants-round-1","status":"publish","type":"grants","link":"https:\/\/northmoregordon.com\/grants-and-programs\/metering-plan-implementation-grants-round-1\/","title":{"rendered":"Metering Plan Implementation Grant (NSW) &#8211; Extended"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The implementation of metering and monitoring systems is a critical step towards identifying energy-saving opportunities and building the case for equipment upgrades.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This grant will help NSW businesses by providing up to $100,000 to cover up to 50% of the cost of implementing the recommendations of a energy metering and monitoring plan. The grant is part of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.energy.nsw.gov.au\/node\/456\">$12 million metering package<\/a>&nbsp;that supports businesses across the different stages of the metering and monitoring process. This will help NSW businesses overcome barriers to improving energy performance and help NSW reach net zero emissions by 2050.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Metering and monitoring can help you unlock data about your energy use and:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>help you identify around 5 to 15% savings in energy costs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>improve energy performance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>understand if electrification is practical at your site &nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>access government support for&nbsp;equipment upgrades<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-who-is-this-for\">Who is this for?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>This initiative is for NSW businesses in the manufacturing or industrial or commercial sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-eligibility\">Eligibility:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>You can apply if you:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>have an energy metering and monitoring plan. The plan must:<br>&#8211; be no more than 3 years old from the day of the grant application<br>&#8211; accurately reflect the current processes and systems on site. The breakdown of costs must be supported by itemised quotes valid at the time of the application<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>have an Australian Business Number (ABN) and be registered for GST<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the proposed metering plan implementation project must be at a NSW site address<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>spend a minimum of $200,000 a year on energy bills at that site, including all purchased fuels, except fuel for transport<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>have a complex energy system including, but not limited to, a combination of:<br>&#8211; multiple processes<br>&#8211; multiple distribution systems<br>&#8211; multiple energy types<br>&#8211; and\/or-multiple end uses<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p> If your application is for a commercial building: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>only the base building is eligible<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the occupancy certificate must have been issued prior to 1 January 2022<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You can apply for one grant per site.
